A Finn wants to go to sauna on a holiday, and a Finnish sauna is an experience for many foreigners. In the Forssa region, there are smoke saunas, underground saunas, a boat sauna, a landscape sauna and traditional lakeside saunas, among others. The sauna experience can also be completed by bathing in a hot tube or by taking a dip in the freesing cold water throught an ice hole in winter.
Everyone is welcome to a public sauna at the beach sauna located on the shore of Lake Pyhäjärvi in Tammela.
The sauna warms up in the summer time on Wednesdays from 17:00 to 20:30 and on Saturdays from 16:00 to 19:00.
Price adults 4€ and children 1€. The sauna building has two saunas, one for women and one for men. The women's side has a spacious dressing room and a separate washroom.
The operational season of the sauna is from the beginning of June to mid-September, and it is managed by the Institute on Adult Education´s Student Council.
First sauna for 2025 will be heated at Saturday 31st of May.
